Charlotte, N.C. (January 21, 2008) – Jacobsen, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announces the addition of Deanna Duke as its new product manager for the fairway product category – a line that includes the finest and most popular lightweight mowers available to customers in the golf and turf industries. “Jacobsen’s fairway mowers are specifically engineered to provide the best quality-of-cut and maintain all types of turf at the highest level by eliminating scalping and other common problems like unnecessary turf compaction,” said Brian Melka, Jacobsen director of product Duke has held management positions with Curtiss-Wright Controls, Nissan Motor Corporation, Sea-Land Service and most recently, Goodrich Corporation as the company’s marketing communications manager. She has also worked with Arthur Anderson Business Consulting and is a Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Currently living in Charlotte, Duke earned a bachelor’s degree in human factors engineering from the United States Air Force Academy South Carolina.
