Jacobsen Redefines Tournament Quality-of-Cut with Debut of New Eclipse™ 122 F

Charlotte, N.C., February 22, 2007 - Jacobsen®, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announces the dawning of a new age in the evolution of walking greens mowers with the introduction of the Eclipse™ 122 F. The new greens mower redefines tournament quality-of-cut through a new cutting head capable of 50 percent more float than the competition.

The Eclipse 122 F combines the exclusive Jacobsen In-Command™ control system with an independently mounted cutting unit to produce an optimum cut in any conditions.

The true floating-head design and a variety of performance options virtually eliminate the possibility of scalping, providing a consistent, low height-of-cut on difficult undulating and contoured greens.

"Jacobsen has always designed products with an emphasis on quality," said Quinn Derby, Jacobsen product manager. "The Eclipse 122 F delivers the best quality-of-cut and gives operators a level of control over performance that has never before been offered on the golf course."

The Eclipse comes with separate, adjustable settings for reel speeds and mow speeds on an easy-to-read LCD screen. Superintendents can set frequency-of-clip to match the situation and choose from either gen-set or battery power.

The new mower also features four rolling surfaces to reduce overall ground pressure, leaving the floating head free to tread lightly over contours and produce a pristine cut.

"With the Eclipse you have the power to provide a tournament-quality cut every day," Derby said. "A greens mower only cuts as well as it is set to cut. The Eclipse provides control over more aspects of performance than any other mower out there, getting the best quality-of-cut on any green, under any condition." The Eclipse 122 F will be available in the summer of 2007.
