Jacobsen's New AR-3 Rotary Trim Mower Delivers Quality-of-Cut on Courses' Most Hard-to-Reach Areas

CHARLOTTE, NC (August 31, 2007) – Designed for courses with varied elevation angles and tough-to maintain areas around bunkers, traps and other hazards, the new versatile AR-3 triplex rotary trim mower from Jacobsen, a Textron Inc. The all-new AR-3 combines a 72-inch cutting width, new TrimTek™ cutting deck with an exclusive downdraft blade and the best climbing ability in its class into one light, maneuverable machine. Its advanced deck and blade design move grass through a two-step process that pulverizes clippings, resulting in better mulching and a more attractive post-mowing course appearance.

The height of cut can be adjusted without tools and the cutting units can be converted from rear-discharge to mulching decks in minutes.

Adam Barrett, facilities superintendent at the Hunters Run golf complex in Boynton Beach, FL, has been using six AR-3s on his three courses since February and is very pleased with the results.
